Thus, it is eventually up to Woody to return and help them concoct a plan to escape the fortress-like daycare center, which humorously and effectively calls to mind the taut suspense of war thrillers like The Great Escape (1967) and the intricacies of Mission: Impossible-style espionage Movie Toy Story 3. Of course, one of the hallmarks of the Toy Story series has been its sly and clever incorporation of familiar cinematic motifs, but always in a way that feels thrilling and original, rather than derivative, which Toy Story 3 does with great aplomb, especially when it draws us into a fiery climax at a waste incinerator that produces more genuine suspense and tension than all the other summer movies released thus far combined (the fact that the film makes you fear for the lives of these toys is testament to its narrative power and emotional pull) Movie Toy Story 3. From a purely artistic standpoint, Toy Story 3 is superior, although not vastly so, than its predecessors Movie Toy Story 3. At the time of their releases, Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were cutting edge, but the bar hasn't moved much in 11 years Movie Toy Story 3. The problem with this movie is the 3-D, which is the "preferred" format for its screening Movie Toy Story 3. The bright rainbow of colors becomes murky and washed out, with grays withering the kaleidoscope of hues Movie Toy Story 3. In addition, the 3-D appears to have been employed as an afterthought - there are lengthy sequences in which it either isn't used or is used minimally Movie Toy Story 3. I was surprised to find I could take off the 3-D glasses and, for stretches, not be confounded by blurred or double images Movie Toy Story 3. In providing sheer moviegoing satisfaction - plot, characters, verbal wit and visual delight, cheap laughs and honest sentiment - "Toy Story 3" is wondrously generous and inventive Movie Toy Story 3. It is also, by the time it reaches a quiet denouement that balances its noisy beginning, moving in the way that parts of "Up" were Movie Toy Story 3. That is, this film - this whole three-part, 15-year epic - about the adventures of a bunch of silly plastic junk turns out also to be a long, melancholy meditation on loss, impermanence and that noble, stubborn, foolish thing called love Movie Toy Story 3.
